Giving Back

We are champions for people getting active in nature, and our community programs support that mission by “sharing the fruit” of our labour. Through Volunteer Rewards and Earthlings Workshops we directly enable people to evolve their life and live well.

Volunteer Rewards

For the people who also take action and make a meaningful difference in our world – via fitness, environmental, and human development programs – we say “thanks”. That’s volunteers!

Our Volunteer Rewards program specifically recognizes citizens in our neighbourhoods (Kelowna, Maple Ridge, Nanaimo, Victoria, and areas) who contribute time, energy, and enthusiasm to worthwhile local organizations.

WHAT VOLUNTEERS GET*: A complimentary Monkido® Aerial Adventure experience.

HOW TO APPLY: If you represent a charity, non-profit, or educational institution that is involved in fitness, environmental, and community programs that “evolve the human” (i.e. further one’s pursuit of living well), you can fill out our Volunteer Rewards application form to request this appreciation gift for your volunteers.

*CRITERIA & CONDITIONS:

  • Applicants must be a recognized representative of a local charity, non-profit, or educational institution.
  • Volunteers receiving benefits must be those who currently donate their time to task or project that further’s applicant group’s mission, defined as having contributed to the organization, in some non-financial way, within the past 12 months.
  • There is no limit to the number of volunteers you may ask to reward – from a single key contributor to a group. However, the final number of Monkido® Aerial Adventure experiences awarded, for approved requests, will be determined by WildPlay Element Parks and may not match the original request.
  • Regular Element access requirements apply.
  • Volunteers are eligible to receive a Monkido® Aerial Adventure Reward once within a 12 month period.
  • Volunteer Rewards are direct bookings and may not be substituted for Element Passes, or used for public/participant awards or prize incentives in raffles, silent auctions, public recognition, or any other fundraising activities.

Interested organizations can apply now for Volunteer Rewards experiences. Response will be given within six to eight weeks.

Note: WildPlay’s previous general Element Pass donation programs have been discontinued.

Earthlings Workshops

Nature-based experiences that engage the mind and body bring us “earthlings” immeasurable advantages for living well, throughout our whole lives. Why not start to see the benefits early? Our Earthlings Workshops introduce kids to life’s natural elements, experiences through our senses and in our minds. By “tasting the dirt”, kids evolve into empowered “earthlings”, like us!

WHAT KIDS GET*: School classes of children (ages seven to nine; i.e. grades ~two to ~four) receive a complimentary Monkido® Kids Aerial Adventure.

HOW TO APPLY: If you represent a school class (or, a home school group) you can fill out our Earthlings Workshop application form to request this experience for your students.

*CRITERIA & CONDITIONS:

  • Applicants must be a teacher or coordinator of a recognized school or educational institution/group who agree (by applying) to manage the pre-visit logistics for their group including transportation, chaperone requirements, and completed Park waivers.
  • Students who receiving benefits must be ages seven to nine; i.e. grades ~two to ~four. Please contact us to discuss instances of split classes that include 10-year-old students.
  • There is no limit to the number of students in the class application. However, the final number of Monkido® Kids Aerial Adventure experiences awarded, for approved requests, will be determined by WildPlay Element Parks and may not match the original request.
  • Regular Element access requirements apply.
  • Students are eligible to participate in an Earthlings Workshop once within a 12 month period.
  • Earthlings Workshops are direct bookings and may not be substituted for Element Passes.

Do you have some future earthlings to unleash?

Clan in the Community program

In addition to our business activities, we encourage our employees to make a meaningful difference in their neighbourhoods. Individual clan members can give complimentary Element Passes to the causes that they are directly, actively involved with. If you have a WildPlay employee helping your cause that aligns with WildPlay’s values, ask him or her to ask about our Clan in the Community program!
