1% For the Planet: We are champions for people getting active in nature, and our community programs support that mission by sharing the fruit of our labour with the communities we serve.

1% of all Extreme Adventure Course purchases goes towards the preservation and restoration of our planet.

 

Climb for a Cause Days: Each season, WildPlay Parks donates a portion of Adventure Course revenue on certain days to support local charities in the communities we serve. Keep an eye on our social media for upcoming Climb for a Cause Days!

  • 🌳 Climb for a Cause Days
    This season, WildPlay Parks hosted Climb for a Cause Days in partnership with local charities. Together we donated $13,233 to local non-profits!

    2024 Climb for a Cause non-profits: Walk to End ALS (all WildPlay Parks), NYC Marathon - Team For Kids (WildPlay Jones Beach), Human-Nature Counselling Society (WildPlay Victoria), American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (WildPlay Thacher) and Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island (WildPlay Nanaimo).

    🍑 Naked Bungy
    In March, 160 naked jumpers fundraised over $92,000 for Mental Health Recovery Partners (MHRP). MHRP provides life-saving mental health programs on Vancouver Island! Learn more about MHRP's services here.

    💼 Toss The Boss
    In October, teams from across British Columbia raised money and nominated their head honchos to get tossed from WildPlay Nanaimo's infamous bungy bridge for our 4th annual Toss The Boss event. Many brave bosses came out and bungy jumped, raising over $51,500 for the Nanaimo Brain Injury Society!

    Did you know WildPlay is a 1% For The Planet organization? As champions for the environment and getting active in nature, we donate 1% of all Extreme Adventure Course purchases towards the preservation and restoration of our planet.

    🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Sharing the Fruit in 2024
    Everyone should have the right to play. This is why, in 2024 alone, WildPlay has donated more than 900 free passes to: The John Howard Society, The YMCA/YWCA, local Women’s Transition Homes and Child Advocacy centres, regional Pride/LGBTQ+ youth organizations, Big Brothers and Sisters, and many other non-profit, community-based organizations last year. Our goal is to remove economic barriers and ensure all humans have the opportunity for a WildPlay adventure!

Did you know WildPlay is a 1% For The Planet organization? As champions for the environment and getting active in nature, we donate 1% of all Extreme Adventure Course purchases towards the preservation and restoration of our planet. This year, our U.S. parks donated to Surfrider Foundation and our Canadian parks to Ancient Forest Alliance. These organizations are dedicated to protecting our oceans and shorelines, and conserving British Columbia’s old growth forests.
